Stevenson Acquires Wilson Readymix Concrete

The purchase of Wilson Readymix Concrete came into effect on July 19th. This South Auckland concrete business operates 15 trucks and has 10 staff. Based off Ormiston Road on Jarvis Way, it provides Stevenson Concrete with a great location to service Auckland’s East/South-east growth.

Concrete is a strategic business for Stevenson, an important downstream user of the concrete aggregates produced at Drury Quarry. ‘The acquisition demonstrates our long-term commitment to grow in this industry and we will continue to investigate any concrete opportunities that present themselves in the Auckland market,’ says Stevenson Building Products CEO Frank Janssen.

For now the business continues to operate under the Wilson Readymix Concrete brand. All of the staff were offered positions with Stevenson Concrete to become part of the Stevenson family of companies. The East Tamaki operation is managed by Concrete General Manager Dave Lowe as part of the Stevenson’s Building Products group.
