Sandvik appoints Rocktec as New Zealand Dealer

Matamata-based company Rocktec is owned by Stevenson Engineering.  Rick Johnson, CEO of Rocktec (also joint CEO of Stevenson Engineering), says that bringing the Sandvik line of crushing and screening equipment into Rocktec’s product offerings will allow the company to offer a full range of solutions to its customers in New Zealand.
This is good news for customers as the Sandvik screen media range of products has not previously been available in this country.

‘Sandvik equipment is recognised throughout the world as a high-quality range and we are very pleased to be able to promote and support it,’ says Rick.

‘Our ability to include these Sandvik products as part of our solutions to customers means we can now offer them a full product line.
We can also now service existing Sandvik equipment with original  equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts.’

Colin Spann, Manager of Sandvik Mining and Construction NZ division,  says that distributing Sandvik crushing and screening products through Rocktec will give a number of advantages to both companies, as well as to their customers.

‘Rocktec has always offered package solutions to its customers, from the initial engineering design through to the installation,’ says
Colin. ‘In the past, we’ve been supplying the equipment components of these packages and Rocktec has been installing and commissioning them.  The logical next step is for Rocktec to take over the entire sales, distribution and support functions for these product lines.’

Rocktec has also begun to partner with Sandvik to provide design and build solutions for the Australian quarry market.
